A loose diamond is a diamond bought on its own, before it is set. Buying this way lets you choose the exact stone first and then decide on the ring, pendant or earrings around it. AJ's Jewelry is on Myrtle Ave in Ridgewood, just past the Bushwick border. We find natural and lab grown diamonds to your shape, size and budget, and set them in our own shop.
Tell us the shape you like, a carat range and what you want to spend. We bring you diamonds that fit, each with its grading report. Our GIA Diamond Grading Graduate goes through cut, color, clarity and carat weight with you in plain language, and points out what a report cannot tell you, such as how lively a stone looks face up.

Both are real diamonds. A lab grown diamond usually lets you choose a larger stone for the same budget, while a natural diamond is the traditional choice. We sell both and have no stake in which you pick. Our lab grown guide and our page on certified lab grown diamonds explain grading reports in more detail.
Once you have chosen a stone, we set it. Design the ring in our custom ring builder, look through the custom rings we have made, or bring a diamond you already own for diamond setting. Most custom pieces take at least two weeks after design approval.

By subway: take the M to Forest Av or Seneca Av, or the L or M to Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs.
By bus: the Q55 runs along Myrtle Ave from Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and stops near our door.
By car: follow Myrtle Ave east from Bushwick into Ridgewood.
Our store is in Ridgewood, Queens, on Myrtle Ave just past the Bushwick border. Many of our customers live in Bushwick, Williamsburg and Bed-Stuy, and the M train, the L train and the Q55 bus all stop nearby.
Center diamonds we source come with a grading report from an independent laboratory such as GIA or IGI. We go through the report with you before you decide.
Yes. It has the same crystal structure, hardness and sparkle as a natural diamond. The difference is where it formed.
Yes. Bring it in and we will check the stone, help you pick a setting and set it in our own shop.
