From Logo to Vector: Preparing the Design
The client's logo image, like most digital images, was not in a format that our laser equipment could work from directly. To achieve the precision a piece like this demands, the artwork first needed to be rebuilt as a clean vector file — a format built from mathematically defined lines, curves, and shapes that the laser can follow with absolute accuracy regardless of scale or complexity.
Our team took the club's logo and carefully converted it into vector art — tracing every element of the design with attention to the details that make the mark distinctive. The specific graphic elements, the letterforms if present, the overall composition and balance of the logo — all of it was rebuilt digitally with the goal of producing a vector file that was both faithful to the original and fully optimized for production in sterling silver.

Laser Engraved and Laser Cut

The laser first engraved the interior detail of the logo into the silver sheet — the fine graphic elements, the linework, and any interior detail that gives the logo its character and makes it immediately identifiable to those who know it. Laser engraving works with a level of precision that hand tools cannot consistently match at this scale, producing clean, sharp lines that hold the detail of the design clearly across the surface of the metal.
Once the engraving was complete, the laser cut the pendant out of the silver sheet — following the outline of the vector file exactly and producing the silhouette of the logo with edges that are crisp, precise, and true to the original design. The combination of engraved surface detail and laser-cut outline gives the finished pendant a definition and presence that makes it read as a serious piece of craftsmanship rather than a novelty item.
Finished by Hand
The precision work is done by the machine. The finishing work is done by the jeweler. Once the engraved and cut pendant came off the laser, it went to our bench jeweler for the work that elevates a precisely cut piece of silver into finished jewelry.
Edges were refined and smoothed, surfaces were polished, and the sterling silver was brought to the bright, clean finish that the metal is capable of at its best. The engraved elements of the logo deepen in contrast against the polished background, making the detail of the design read with clarity and sharpness that rewards close inspection. The jump ring was attached, the piece was inspected from every angle, and the client's club logo — his mark, his brotherhood, his establishment — was ready to be worn.
