Buying a wedding band from a photo is a guess. Width, weight and fit only make sense once the ring is on your hand. AJ's Jewelry is on Myrtle Ave in Ridgewood, just past the Bushwick border, and Brooklyn couples come in to try widths side by side before they decide. We have been fitting wedding rings here since 1988.
We carry wedding bands in both sterling silver and 14 karat gold. Gold bands come in yellow, white and rose gold, in widths from 2mm to 8mm. Sterling silver bands cover the same widths for couples who want a classic band that is easier on the budget.
Wedding coming up fast? We keep wedding bands in stock in the store, so a last-minute wedding is not a problem. Come in, try the widths side by side and we will fit you from what we have on hand. You can look through our wedding bands before you visit. If you want diamonds, we also carry channel set, shared prong and eternity bands, including lab grown diamond wedding bands.
Bring the engagement ring with you. Halo, curved and low-set rings often need a band shaped to sit flush against them, and we can make one so there is no gap. This chevron diamond band was made to complete a customer's set.
We also engrave. Dates and initials are the most common, but we have engraved a mountain range around a band for a couple who got engaged there: see the Whiteface Mountain band. Engraving and final sizing are done in our own shop. We suggest coming in at least a month before the wedding so nothing is rushed.

By bus: the Q55 runs along Myrtle Ave from Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and stops near our door.
By car: follow Myrtle Ave east from Bushwick into Ridgewood.
Our store is in Ridgewood, Queens, on Myrtle Ave just past the Bushwick border. Many of our customers live in Bushwick, Williamsburg and Bed-Stuy, and the M train, the L train and the Q55 bus all stop nearby.
If you choose a sterling silver or 14 karat gold band we have in stock, we can fit you even at the last minute. For a custom or engraved band, we suggest coming in at least a month ahead. A custom band takes at least two weeks after design approval.
Yes. We engrave names, dates and short messages in our own shop. Our laser engraving page shows what is possible.
Plain gold bands can usually be sized up or down. A full eternity band has diamonds all the way around and cannot be resized, so we measure carefully before we make one.
It helps, because each of you should try the fit. If one of you cannot make it, bring a ring that fits that hand well and we will measure it.
