Customer’s Vision and Consultation: Sun Design and Cultural Symbol
The process began with the customer’s desire to create a pendant in the shape of a sun, symbolizing warmth, energy, and life. They also wanted to include the "Nyame Ye Ohene" symbol within the center of the pendant as a nod to their cultural heritage and a representation of their faith. The customer envisioned a pendant that fused these two elements, creating a design that was both symbolic and visually striking.
After selecting 14 Karat gold for its durability and classic appeal, we began working on a digital concept.
Laser Cutting the Sun Pendant
With the design finalized and approved, the next step was to bring the pendant to life. A sheet of 14 Karat gold was prepared, and the design was sent to a laser cutting machine. Laser cutting technology was chosen for its precision and ability to replicate intricate designs with high accuracy. The laser cutter traced the exact outline of the sun, cutting out the pendant with smooth, sharp edges, while also engraving the "Nyame Ye Ohene" symbol in the center.
The precision of the laser cutting machine ensured that the rays of the sun were well-defined, and the symbol was perfectly rendered.
Polishing and Finishing
Once cut out, the pendant underwent a thorough polishing process. The 14 Karat Yellow Gold was buffed to a high shine, bringing out its luster and making the sun’s rays sparkle. The polishing process enhanced the contrast between the smooth surface of the sun and the "Nyame Ye Ohene" symbol, giving the pendant a radiant, polished finish that reflected the light beautifully.
